Leys can be ploughed immediately after grazing by deep ploughing, discing followed by slightly shallower ploughing, or double ploughing. Ploughing must be followed immediately by rolling. A suitable rotation consists of sugar beet, wheat, potatoes and wheat, followed by a 4-year ley.
