IN the 1916-17 laying contest the av. production of all (1000) birds was 16l.8 eggs averaging 2.02 oz. (range: Buff Wyandottes 125.6-Black Leghorns 175.3). Only 1 pullet laid over 300 eggs (301). In 1924-25 the av. egg production of 12, 510 pullets was 164.4 eggs (range: White Rocks 134.0-White Leghorns 175.3). The highest average was that of 15 Blue Andalusians with 184.5 eggs; 15 birds registered 300 or more eggs.
