, : The sex ratio in German Improved Landschwein of the Hoya breeding area. Z. Tierz. ZuchtBiol, 59: 229-252

THE effect of various factors on the sex ratio was studied using the records of 1411 sows with 7272 litters and 81, 050 piglings for the years 1931-48. The proportion of in the 3rd-llth litters was significantly higher than in the lst-2nd litters. There were significantly more in litters of sows aged 60-79 mths. (at time of mating) than in those of sows aged 4-19 mths.
