, : Treatment of macrocytic anaemia with folic acid. Lancet. 250: 225-228

The work of the writer's team on macrocytic anaemia is reviewed and the account of treatment with folic acid is brought up to date. The strict criteria used in selecting and classifying cases are described. The observations summarised include 41 of macrocytic and 4 of iron deficiency anaemia. Of these, 41 were treated in hospital, 35 of them on a diet from which meat, meat products, fish and poultry.were excluded.
