Additional haptoral hooks in the genus Dactylogyrus

, : Additional haptoral hooks in the genus Dactylogyrus. Journal of Parasitology, 49: 6, 1028-1029

Phase microscopy has revealed an additional pair of haptoral hooks in members of Dactylogyrus they resemble the recognised 7 pairs of hooks in this genus but appear to lack the posteriorly projecting structure that arises from the sickle-shaped point of the hook. The extra pair are between those known as pairs 4 and 5.
