Characteristics of protein hydrolysates used for parenteral feeding

, : Characteristics of protein hydrolysates used for parenteral feeding. Vop. Pitan, 18: 6, 34-41

Paper chromatography was used to study the amino acids and peptides of protein hydrolysates and of the serum of 12 healthy subjects. The two parenteral preparations hydrolysin L-103 and aminopeptide-2 contained free alanine, glycine, threonine, tyrosine, valine + methionine, phenylalanine, methionine sulphone and leucine + isoleucine, and the aminopeptide-2 contained also lysine and proline. Serine, glutamic acid and arginine were present in peptides.
