The Conference number of the Journal is devoted to the publication of papers and proceedings of the 19th Annual Conference of the Society, held at Baroda in December, 1959. The subjects discussed at the Conference were (I) Taxation and Optimum Land utilization; (II) The Role of Processing of Agricultural Produce in the Indian Rural Economy; (III) Technique of Evaluating Rural Development Programmes; and (IV) The Role of Agriculture in the Third Five-Year Plan.
