Effect of general level of mineral nutrition on intensity of chlorine uptake by the plant.

, : Effect of general level of mineral nutrition on intensity of chlorine uptake by the plant.. Dokl. Akad. Nauk. 152: 489-491

Maize grown in water for 2-3 weeks was transferred to complete nutrient solution at 5, 20, 100 & 300% of the normal strength & after 10 days in these solutions Cl36 was added at 2 rates. During the next 9 days with the lower rate & the next 5 days with the higher rate the amounts of Cl36 in the leaves (per g dry weight) at a given rate of Cl36 was greatest in the 20% solution, but after 13 & 9 days respectively the amount of CI36 in the leaves was greatest with the 5 % solution.
