Epidemic Pasteurella multocida infection in reindeer.

, : Epidemic Pasteurella multocida infection in reindeer.. Nord. VetMed, 14: 1-15

An account of an outbreak in July 1959, in which the epidemiology corresponded to that of the earlier outbreaks (1924, 1914, 1912) in Sweden. In one district 600-700 reindeer died, about 70% of that year's fawns. The lesions were typical of haemorrhagic septicaemia. The strains of Pasteurella multocida isolated from two animals had typical morphological and cultural properties.
