Influence of lysozyme on the proteo-lytic activity of faeces.

, : Influence of lysozyme on the proteo-lytic activity of faeces.. Boll. Soc. ital. Biol. sper, 36: 5, 222-26

Proteolytic activity of the faeces of babies reflects the proteolytic activity of the duodenum and high activity is associated with digestive abnormalities, e.g. after early weaning of babies. Addition of lysozyme to the milk diets of children, 1-10 months old, partially or totally weaned, caused decreased proteolytic activity of the faeces.
