Potassium in the soil. The determination of available potassium by means of soil analyses.

, : Potassium in the soil. The determination of available potassium by means of soil analyses.. Tidsskr. norske Landbr, 66: 36-48

The lattice structure of the most common K-bearing minerals, chemical transformations and weathering in soils, some soil-test methods and the relationship between analytical figures and yields are dealt with. In pot experiments soil K extracted with l n HNO3, warm 11 n H2SO4 and an ion-exchange resin appeared to be a good expression of available K; its correlation with yields was much higher than the correlation between yield and exchangeable K.
