Relationships between soybean yield and concentrations of phosphorus and potassium in plant parts

A multiple regression analysis showed that over 80% of the variation in soybean yield was accounted for by the variation in the P and K contents of some plant parts. These results were obtained in an experiment on a fine sandy loam in which applications of P and K fertilizers signficantly affected grain yield and P and K content of soybean plants.
