, : Some pests and diseases of Persian Walnut in the N.W. Caucasus, their distribution and seriousness. Shorn. Trud. Aspir. molod. nauch. Sotrud. vses. Inst. Rastenievod. 1960. 1: 5, 381-394

In 1952-59 Marssonina juglandis was the most serious disease of walnut in the various districts of the N.W. Caucasus. Distribution was assessed on symptoms, according to a 5 point scale (0, no infection; 4, max. infection). Infection of fruits and leaves was heavy on the southern littoral of the Black Sea, but was less severe in the middle mountain belt of the southern and northern Black Sea regions. Sharp attacks may, however, occur in some years.
