Structure of the chloroplasts of citrus leaves. I. Mineral-deficient lemons

, : Structure of the chloroplasts of citrus leaves. I. Mineral-deficient lemons. An. Edafol. Fisiol veg, 18: 329-45. bibl. 30

The parenchyma cells of Fe-deficient and Mn-deficient leaves contained abundant rmtochondrial bodies, mostly at the proplast stage of development. The chloroplasts of healthy and of deficient leaves were markedly different. It was concluded that in Verna lemons Fe deficiency inhibits chloroplast formation. - Centr. Edafol. Biol. apl.
