The Species of Mosquitoes transmitting Japanese B Type Encephalitis in Pukien.

, : The Species of Mosquitoes transmitting Japanese B Type Encephalitis in Pukien.. Acta microbiol. sinica. 27-32

The investigations that are the subject of these two papers were carried out in a part of Fukien in which Japanese B encephalitis was epidemic, and those described in the first were promoted by a local belief that Lasiohelea taiwana (Shiraki) was acting as a vector. During July and August 1955, 763 adults of this Ceratopogonid were caught when settling on the authors and were examined for virus by inoculation of suspensions into test animals.
