The effect of plant population and fertilization rate on yield and nutrient uptake of corn on flatwood soils

, : The effect of plant population and fertilization rate on yield and nutrient uptake of corn on flatwood soils. Soil Crop Sci. Soc. Fla Proc, 23: 74-81

Relatively high rates of NPK (total 1000 lb/acre or more) were required for the production of 100 bu/acre maize in the first year on virgin sandy soil. Data are reported on the N, P, K and Mg uptake of maize fertilized at rates of 188-3000 lb/acre NPK.
