The material was selected from 429 soil profiles and included 35 topsoil samples and 53 subsoil samples. Minor elements were present in greater amounts than those generally reported for Finnish soils. In, mineral soils minor-element contents increased with finer texture; minor-element content steeply decreased with increased loss on ignition.
