Eighty-two rabbits were given by stomach tube a single dose of cream or vegetable oil in amount ranging from 0.5 to 8 g. per kg. bodyweight. No animal which received up to 4 g. fat per kg. bodyweight died; it is stated that 43 per cent. of 12 rabbits given 6.5 g. per kg. and 57 per cent. of 14 rabbits given 8 g. per kg. died within 3 days.
