Cuttings of D. alata, D. rotundata and D. dumetorum, consisting of a single node with 2 opposite, intact mature leaves, were placed in water or in soil, in diffuse light. Buds and roots arose from a mass of whitish tissue which developed in the axils. Cuttings of D. alata were grown for 16 weeks under photoperiods of 11.5, 12 and 12.5hr.
