The reserves of available phosphates in soils and their accumulation when phosphorus fertilizers are applied.

, : The reserves of available phosphates in soils and their accumulation when phosphorus fertilizers are applied.. Pochvovedenie, 2, 1-9

In pot experiments in which 32P was applied with very little inert carrier (S. & F. XXI) the available-P reserves of serozems were shown to be small but of high availability, whereas those of krasnozems were high but of low availability. Water-soluble phosphates applied to a given type of soil were converted into phosphates whose availability was generally similar to that of the naturally occurring phosphates. Repeated application of P greatly increased the available-P content of soils.
