The residual value of phosphatic fertilisers

, : The residual value of phosphatic fertilisers. Scot. Agric, 43: 81-85

Residual values of water-soluble phosphates are appreciable in the season after application. In comparable conditions in S.E. Scotland, swedes were able to take up two-fifths as much phosphate in the season after applying super as in the season of application. But in many soils, residues from the preceding crop would be quite inadequate to support a maximum crop in the following season.
