The resistance of milk samples to the activity of mastitis staphylococci

, : The resistance of milk samples to the activity of mastitis staphylococci. J. Dairy Sci, 39: 7, 927

Aseptically collected milk samples, to which methylene blue had been added, were inoculated with a mastitis-producing strain of haemolytic staphylococci. The dye reduction times indicated that resistance of milk to bacterial activity was lower from April to July inclusive than in later months of both 1954 and 1955.
