Hybrids obtained on cross pollination with mixed pollen of S. phureja variety Kameraz and S. schreiteri were highly resistant, cysts being present on none to 12% of plants. S. catarthrum and one of its hybrids were also highly resistant, with only occasional cysts on the roots, and S. andigenum was fairly resistant.
