The growth and phenology of 9 different species in the industrial towns of Rezh and Sverdlovsk indicated that Populus suaveolens, P. alba and Caragana arborescens were the most, and Syringa vulgaris, Pyrus baccata and Betula verrucosa the least resistant to atmospheric pollution.
