Local and imported varieties of Triticum vulgare, T. durum and T. turgidum were tested for resistance to P. graminis f. sp. tritici. No immune or highly resistant varieties were found but, among T. vulgare types, moderate resistance was shown by strain 159 from Bulgaria, Chinese 166 x Lin Calel from England and Elia, Verna and Est Mottin from Italy.
