The resistance of the spider mite to internal plant poisons.

, : The resistance of the spider mite to internal plant poisons.. Hlopkovodstvo (Cott. Prod.), 12: 5, 15-18

Details are given of a laboratory and field study of the development of resistance by succeeding generations of spider mites to mercaptophos and methyl mercaptophos applied to cotton plants. The development of resistance to mercaptophos was more pronounced when small dosages of insecticide were applied at relatively short intervals. With higher doses (600-1000 g/ha), a second treatment after 35-40 days practically eliminated the population.
