The respiration of larvae of Hylotrupes bajulus under varying conditions.

, : The respiration of larvae of Hylotrupes bajulus under varying conditions.. Z. angew. Ent, 51: 4, 323-34

Describes electrical measurements of the O consumption of individual larvae enclosed in small blocks of Scots Pine. Consumption varied greatly between individuals. Its dependence on temperature (optimum 29-30<degrees.) was greater in the younger larvae. Respiration in relation to body weight decreased with weight.
