The response of certain crops to 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid in irrigation water. Pt. III. Concord grapes

, : The response of certain crops to 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid in irrigation water. Pt. III. Concord grapes. Weeds, 6: 2, 187 bibl. 4

of irrigation water was applied late June-early July to 2 year old Concord grapes. After 2 weeks, 1 pounds per acre or more had caused wilting, chlorosis and/or desiccation of the foliage of some plants but no leaf deformity, which often died after 2-3 weeks; others similarly treated were unaffected. Root systems of plants with foliar injury were often destroyed and remaining fragments were discoloured with enlarged tips.
