The response of intergeneric vegetative hybrids to a change in the light regime.

, : The response of intergeneric vegetative hybrids to a change in the light regime.. Nauc. Dokl. vyss. Sk. biol. Nauk (Sci. Rep. tech. Sch. biol. Sci.). 3, 172-77

Differences in responses in the fourth seed generation of two kinds of vegetative hybrids of wheat are described. Type (1) was obtained by transplantation of T. durum embryos on endosperms of short-day plants (maize or rice) and type (2) by embryo transplantation on endosperms of long-day plants (T. durum or barley). The development of type (1) hybrids was retarded in long days and accelerated in short days, while the reverse was true in type (2) hybrids.
