The response of plants to the radiation activity of S35 in the first and second generations.

, : The response of plants to the radiation activity of S35 in the first and second generations.. Izv. Timiryazev. seljsk. Akad, 4, 29-40. bibl. 12

S35 at 0.1-5.0 mC per 2-litre container was applied to water cultures of certain plants, the progeny of which were then grown in sand cultures. The effects in both generations were greatest in wheat, intermediate in oats, and least in peas. Damage was first observed at the 0.5 mC level, the seed yields in the first generation being reduced to 37% of the controls in wheat, 68% in oats and 90% in pea.
