The response of soyabeans to several substituted benzoic acids

, : The response of soyabeans to several substituted benzoic acids. Proc. N.E. Weed Contr. Conf. [USA], 14: 31-9. bibl

Soyabeans (grown in Hoagland's solution) showed the greatest tolerance to 3-nitro-2, 5-dichlorobenzoic acid, although strong formative effects appeared at concentrations of 10 ppm. and above. No formative effects were produced by 3-amino-2, 5-dichlorobenzoic acid even at 20 ppm., but concentrations above 5 ppm. reduced top and root growth of soyabeans.
