The response of sweet peppers in Everglades organic soils to P and K fertilization

, : The response of sweet peppers in Everglades organic soils to P and K fertilization. Proc. Fla St. hort. Soc. 1963. 75: 146-52. bibl. 11

Experiments showed that side dressing of P and K may be beneficial to sweet peppers when heavy rains have leached fertilizers from the root zone of the plants during the early stages of growth. Yield increases were obtained from applying P to soil containing 5 Ib. P per acre. No yield increases were obtained from K fertilization, indicating that a K level of 60 Ib. per acre was adequate.
