The response of the potato to calcium-potassium relationships in the soil.

, : The response of the potato to calcium-potassium relationships in the soil.. Versl. landb. Onderz. 's Grav, 61, 82

For maximum tuber yields on sandy soils and sandy peats, CaCO3 applications to bring the pH to 4.5-5.0 are recommended; at lower pH, yields are less on peats than on sandy soils. On peats, responses were less in the year of CaCO3 application than in the 2nd and 3rd years. The critical K value agreed closely with that of Van der Paauw. There was no interaction of pH with K value on the peat or directly after CaCO3 applications on the sandy soil.
