At the State Farm Kuitezhskii in Karelia, of 48 blue foxes born in May, 24 were gradually subjected to 7 hrs. light daily in the second half of July and the remainder were left in ordinary daylight. The fur of the former was prime by the 12th-14th Nov. and that of the latter by 20th Dec. There was no appreciable difference in fur density between the 2 groups.
