Laboratory and greenhouse tests were carried out to determine the selectivity of several herbicides between germinating sugar beet and various weeds. In tests with beet and Brassica campestris as the weed, borax, endothal, TCA and PCP were non-selective, although DCU was highly selective its activity in the field is very low.
