The results of larch species and provenance trials

, : The results of larch species and provenance trials. Silv. genet, 7: 137-54

The results are compared of provenance trials of several larch species, these trials having been carried out in a number of European countries with trees of varying age. The Japanese larch Larix leptolepis gave the best results as regards growth in height in trials in north and central Europe; other types giving similar good results were those of European larch, L. decidua, from the Sudeten, Tatras, Poland and some eastern Alpine areas.
