, : The results of litter testing for 1958. Przegl. hodowl, 28: 5, 5-11

In 1958, 3723 Large White (L. W.), 982 White Lop-eared (W. L.), 640 Pulawy (P.) and 150 Zlotniki (Z.) pigs were tested. The results obtained are compared with those for 1956 and 1957. The av. number of litters per sow in 1958 was 1.47, 1.43, 1.43, and 1.25 resp. The av. number of piglings born per litter and the numbers reared to 21 and 56 days resp. were 15.7, 13.4 and 12.9 in the L. W., 14.7, 12.9 and 12.6 in the W.
