The food intake of 39 men and 20 women students was studied during 3 successive days in 5 university dining-rooms. The nutritive value of the meals was insufficient to meet requirements. In general, intakes of energy, protein, calcium, vitamins A and B1 and riboflavin were inadequate. Of the men, 10 per cent. had less than 2000 Cal. and 70 g. protein and, of the women, 20 per cent. had less than 1800 Cal. and 60 g. protein daily.
