The results of studies on the bionomics of the cherry fruit-fly near Belgrade.

, : The results of studies on the bionomics of the cherry fruit-fly near Belgrade.. Plant Prot, Belgrade, 60, 29-53

Rhagoletis cerasi (L.) is an important pest of cherries throughout Yugoslavia, and, as its bionomics had been studied only on the Dalmatian coast, investigations were carried out near Belgrade in 1954-55. The first adults were observed in mid-May, and emergence continued into the second half of June. The females lived for 11-20 days and the males for 6-15 days, the adults being present for about two months. Females slightly outnumbered males throughout.
