The retention of residual milk in cows.

, : The retention of residual milk in cows.. Zhivotnovodstvo. 25: 3, 74-77

A brief summary is given of studies into the problem of residual milk under normal dairy farming conditions. In 990 tests on 189 cows, the amount of milk obtained following intravenous injection of pituitrin immediately after hand or machine milking ranged from 50 to 7, 800 ml., being 50-2, 000 ml. in 77.5% of the cases.
