The rhythm of seasonal shoot formation in Lathyrus pratensis and Vicia cracca and the dependence of growth on height of cut.

, : The rhythm of seasonal shoot formation in Lathyrus pratensis and Vicia cracca and the dependence of growth on height of cut.. Bjull. Moskov. Obscest. Ispyt. Prirody Otdel Biol. (Bull. Moscow Soc. Naturalists, Biol. Div.), 68: 5, 59-65. bibl. 3

2-yr observations were made on L. pratensis and V. cracca, on areas of 5 m2, in 2 types of meadow in the flood-plain of the river Oka. The herbage (for 2-cut utilization) either did not receive PK or received 60 kg K2O and 60 kg P2O5/ha in early spring. Dominant species in meadow (a) included Festuca pratensis, Bromus inermis and Poa pratensis, and in meadow (b), B. inermis and Alopecurus pratensis.
