The rice leafroller, Susumia exigua (Butler), in Fiji

, : The rice leafroller, Susumia exigua (Butler), in Fiji. J. acon. Ent, Menasha, Wis., 56: 1, 112-113

Observations were made in Fiji in 1960-62 on the Pyralid Susumia exigua (Btlr.), which, like Psara stultalis (Wlk.) and Marasmia poeyalis (Boisd.), was formerly confused with the Australian M. venilialis (Wlk.). S. exigua, attacking rice, and M. poeyalis, attacking grasses, can be separated by colour and behaviour, as well as by food-plant preference; P. stultalis infests amarantaceous weeds.
