The use of herditary pollen sterility in the commercial production of hybrid maize seed. III

, : The use of herditary pollen sterility in the commercial production of hybrid maize seed. III. Maydica, Bergamo, 4: 55-61

In the third part of this article, data are given on the characteristics of some hybrids produced from restorers isolated from Italian maize populations, in crosses with the American male-steriles WF9T and WR3T. A modified method of transferring restorer genes to a line after it has been constituted is being used at the maize breeding station at Bergamo and is described.
