A review of the pharmacological properties of Tiguvon (fenthion) for use in cattle. I. Toxicology of Tiguvon in cattle

, : A review of the pharmacological properties of Tiguvon (fenthion) for use in cattle. I. Toxicology of Tiguvon in cattle. Vet.-med. Nachr, Marburg, 2-3, 280-292

The way in which fenthion was administered to cattle was found to have an important bearing on its effect. A dosage of 5 mg per kg body weight given in capsules led to death in several cases, but the same dosage mixed with food produced only mild signs of toxicity, which disappeared in five days. Fenthion made food less attractive. Two methods of external application also gave different results.
