In field trials in Moscow province, simazine and atrazine applied in the previous year at 1.5-2 kg/ha, reduced the number of weed plants in a potato crop by 58% and 73.5%, respectively, and reduced the number of weed seeds in the soil from 457/kg soil (untreated control) to 149.
