An effective technique for increasing

, : An effective technique for increasing. Vinodelie i Vinogradarstvo, 31: 4, 24-7

In conventional production of vine transplants over 30% of the grafts are discarded owing to poor callusing. The experimental technique involved the preparation of all grafts 7-10 days before planting in the nursery by removing all the roots at the union and all the shoots on the rootstock. The material was then separated into first grade grafts, which had a complete callus plus a healthy bud or shoot on the scion, and second grade grafts, which had a partial or complete callus but a poor bud.
