Summarized results are given of two years' trials on the control of prickly sida (Sida spinosd) in cotton. AN 56477, MSMA, noruron and trifluralin were relatively ineffective, but excellent control was obtained with fluometuron, SAN 6706 pre. em.. S. spinosa was effectively controlled by dinoseb, fluometuron, prometryne and VCS 438 applied when the weed was <4 inches high, but only VCS 438 was effective when the weed was >4 inches high.
