Development of performance of cattle twins reared under different conditions

, : Development of performance of cattle twins reared under different conditions. Arch. Tierz. 13: 43-54

The 32 pairs of dizygotic twins referred to in No. 1759 were used, the management, ages at 1st mating and seasons of calving being as in the previous experiment. Dairy performance was only slightly affected by age at 1st mating and season of calving. There was a tendency for animals first mated at 21 mth to have greater persistency in their 2nd lactation than those mated at 15 mth, but the difference was not significant.
