Digestibility of different feeds by geese

, : Digestibility of different feeds by geese. Arch. Gefliigelzucht Kleintierk, 15: 3-21

Of 141 digestibility tests in 42 trials with geese only 31 were analysed because of the difficulty of separating N of faeces from that of urine. For grains, legumes, oilseeds, oilmeals, protein concentrates and roots digestibility was estimated directly and by difference. Fibre content (x) was closely related to digestibility of organic matter (y), r = 0.886, by the regression: y = 85.5--1.72 x. Digestibility of crude protein was related to protein content.
