, : Economic survey of Japan (1970-1971). Economic survey of Japan (1970 ), Tokyo: The Japan Times Ltd, 161. Price: Yen2,800,

The growth of income of farming households in 1970, being 10.9 per cent. was almost unchanged from 1969, although the income from non-farming business rose by 22.6 per cent. over 1969. Farm income generally receded by 5 per cent. Deliveries of chemical fertilizer rose 4.7 per cent. from 1965 to 1968 but recorded a decline of 6.6 per cent. in 1970. This was primarily due to the decline in rice acreage and conversion to fruit and vegetable production.
